Class Name:  Ultimate Contrast

Description: Painting in Black and White - Create the ultimate illustrated look on your miniatures using just two colours! In this hands-on class you'll learn to paint eye-catching miniatures using just white paint and black ink. Explore techniques such as using shadows to build volume, shading with hatch marks, and lining. 

Miniatures and paint/ink are provided, but you'll want to bring your own brushes.  A small brush is recommended for lining.

Class Name:  Just Paint The Base (Comic Style Basing)

Description: Mess-Free Basing - Forget messing around with glue and flock! If you've got a flat base and some paint, you've got all you need to set your miniatures apart from the crowd using a popping, comic-style approach to basing. Bases are provided, students should bring their own brushes.

Class Name:  Blood and Gore Effects: The Advanced Made Easy (Going Beyond Blood for the Blood God)

Description: Are you tired of your blood effects looking like cranberry sauce all over your model? Are you seeking new skills and techniques to bring your blood and gore effects to the next level? If so, than this is the class for you.

We will spend this class understanding the properties of blood and how it interacts on different surfaces. We will spend time practicing new techniques to apply this knowledge to the provided miniatures. All materials will be provided, and students will be encouraged to experiment with the knowledge they acquire throughout this class.

Class Name:  Beyond Basic Colour Theory - Ambience and Atmosphere 

Instructor:  Kyle Maitland - BirdNBrush

Description:  This discussion is intended to be a crash course, to help give you tools to think about colour in a more cohesive way, beyond basic colour theory.  The end goal is to help you think about colour in a way that will have your miniatures always looking like they are in the room (or desolate waste) you painted them to be in.  If you want to start to build the colour skills required for painting beyond tabletop, the topics and tools we discuss here will set you on a path (with lots of practice) to get there.

Please note we will not be painting a figure in this period, the time is simply too short  to take it to practice.  The goal here is to introduce the class to thinking about colour and atmosphere.
